Daytripping in Amsterdam

I wrote in my previous post that I was suddenly whisked away for 48 hours by the amazing Design Hotels team Amsterdam. While I was there all my senses were on overload. All my wishes were addressed and  didn't know which to accept first. A view of the city? A bicycle tour? Or chill with some artisan coffee and a cheeky smoke of you-know-what. Amsterdam is a magical place and even though people may argue that Bali or California is where creatives fly in their droves, I would argue that the same could be said for this amazing little town.

I hung out with Instagram's creme de la creme curtesy of Design Hotels who were promoting the launch of the spectacular Sir Adam Hotel. After a days hard trekking Allan took us to his fav coffee spot called Bocca. I was already high on a magnificent flat white from the breakfast buffet that morning so I opted for a hot chocolate which was exquisite.

Nicolee and I broke away from the crowd and went photographing along Amsterdam's incredible canals. We stumbled into a beautiful vintage store full of amazing 1920s and 1930s jewellery and ornaments. I couldn't help myself and decided to get two egg shaped marble balls and I won't lie, it was purely for insta-decoration. I was so sad when I had to catch a flight back to London but as my local airport happens to be London City Airport (perks of living East) I will be back to take more time to explore this glorious city.
